ABOUT ME

If there is one thing that drives my wife crazy, it is that I can't sit still. I am always striving to learn new things and gain new skills. If I am not running SEO or PPC campaigns for my Digital Marketing clients or building an app for iOS, you will usually find me wood working! I've had the incredible opportunity to be an apprentice to an incredible craftsman. I've been able to learn how to build sturdy and beautiful furniture as well as intricate and complex instruments.

 

These projects have not only taught me craftsman skills, but also skills that I often use in the workplace. It takes a large amount of patience to build a guitar. Not only are the blueprints complex, the wood is more delicate and the finish will be heavily scrutinized. You cannot rush building an instrument. If you do, you risk damaging the wood, or hurting the sound quality.

Similarly, I've learned that work should not be rushed. I say this understanding that most development jobs are run in an Agile setting. I believe that you can work quickly without rushing quality. It all comes down to time management and spending quality time on tasks that truly need it, instead of spending it on tasks that can be handled at a different time or simply are not as complex.

Outside of these hobbies, my time is best spent with my sweet family. They motivate me to be the best version of myself.
